Al Nehem — The Whale Shark Icon

Al Nehem, the monumental whale shark suspended above Lusail Plaza, emerged as a striking landmark for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

Rising 30 meters above the city, the installation came to life each night through light, movement, and performance, transforming the urban space into an immersive spectacle.

Conceived as a powerful symbol of environmental awareness, architecture, and collective celebration, it became one of Doha’s most recognizable icons of the tournament.
